About Cathy Mendelsohn
Before starting my coaching practice, I worked as a Communications and Marketing professional in the public and private sectors. Although I had a successful career, I yearned for a deeper sense of fulfillment and engagement from my work. My journey to find my calling led to the realization that my true passion lay in personal and spiritual growth and human connection. The decision to become a personal coach was born out of that revelation. Helping others harness their strengths and passions to create more joyful, fulfilling lives is the most inspiring and rewarding work I have ever had.
I earned my Certified Professional Co-Active Coach certification through the Coaches Training Institute, am an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation and hold a B.S. in International Business Communications from Marymount Manhattan College. I am an ardent student of Nonviolent Communication and a long-time member and sponsor in the Al-Anon fellowship. My hobbies include playing the flute, yoga, dancing, singing to my dog and speaking French.
